Sullivan County is noted for its beautiful scenery and wildlife, creating a perfect setting for many outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, hunting, camping and many events during all seasons. This is the perfect area for a get-away. Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce sponsors two widely known events each year, A Taste Full Event in July and the Fall Festival and Lumberjack Competition the second full weekend of October when the foliage is at its best. The scenic background of our two state parks, Worlds End and Ricketts Glen, with their magnificent waterfalls, acres of preserved woodlands of the Loyalsock State Forest and state game lands provide a relaxing atmosphere for recreation of all kinds.
While in Sullivan County, take a moment to view three covered bridges, numerous scenic overlooks, and the new courthouse addition and museum in Laporte. Enjoy a visit to historic Eagles Mere, do some shopping in Dushore and browse through the arts and crafts shops located throughout the county.
