The mountains and valleys of Cameron County are the perfect setting for all types of outdoor activities. In spring and summer you can hike, bike, fish, swim, canoe, camp, bird-watch, sit by the stream, view the eagles at Stevenson Dam and study nature everywhere. Autumn brings fantastic foliage and the hunting seasons. Snowmobiling and cross-country skiing are favorite winter activities.
You won't find huge motel/hotel complexes with 50 floors, instead there are small overnight accommodations where the owners will call you by name and cater to your needs. You can even bring your own camper or tent and "chill out" in the Elk State Forest, Sizerville or Sinnemahoning State Parks.
